Testimonials
At Back to Life we take great satisfaction and pride in knowing our candidates have enjoyed one of our resuscitation or first aid training courses.
Below are just some of the comments we have received, taken from the candidates themselves (via our course evaluation forms), managers responsible for booking courses for their staff, and some of our trainers. Some identifying characteristics have been changed or removed but all the comments are exactly as we have received them!

First Responder from London, March 2018
I attend your ILS course on the 13 of March 2018 and would like to give some feedback . The ILS course was based in a comfortable environment , with plenty of on site facilities (cups of tea and coffee and biscuits ). The course was lead by a brilliant trainer who delivered the course in a interesting and confident manner.
The scenarios and training was personally catered to each member of the group and their individual professional environments.
Very enjoyable and I would love to come back for another course.

Specialist Nurse at a Sexual Health Clinic in Surrey, December 2017
I'm just contacting you to provide feedback from today's BLS training.
The level of instruction was superb, as per usual. The hands-on training was welcome by everyone, and we got to work in rotational teams which we all found extremely valuable. We discovered a few new areas for our staff to address today - very few staff knew where the resus equipment was kept, few knew the contents of our emergency drug box and we managed to find that our gloves were latex (since removed for non-latex gloves). Much of which would have remained unnoticed until we needed to use the equipment. So a huge thank you for drawing those areas for attention.
The anaphylaxis training was equaly brilliant and the relevant hand out material was very welcome. On behalf of the staff present today I'd like to thank your instructor who made the day both interesting and enjoyable, and I think it's safe to say we learnt a great deal.
We hope to see you again next year.

Staff Nurse based in Surrey, September 2017
I have just completed the above course with you. I found the content very comprehensive and informative, with a good balance of theory and practice. The simulator for abdominal thrusts was great!
Sean delivered the course content with clarity, knowledge and humour and maintained interest throughout. He encouraged questions at relevant intervals and was helpful with his answers.
One of the best training sessions I have attended - thank you!

I just wanted to make some comments about the trainer who did the Basic Life Support training this morning. I wanted to feed back that I thought she was a really good trainer. I'm sure that I'm not alone in feeling that training is not always the most interesting thing in the world, but she made it really engaging and I feel that I actually learned a great deal.
I just thought that the delivery was very effective and she had a skillful ability to point out honestly yet sensitively, when people weren't quite getting things right, which I really admire.
The discussions, exercises and the way she held the group generally was so effective. I was thinking on the way home that we are generally quite quick to complain about things and not to feed back positively, so I wanted to share my thoughts about today's session as it made a lasting impression.

We would Like to thank Shaun for a fabulous teaching session on resuscitation training yesterday.
We found his manner engaging, thoughtful and able to impart information that we felt we could absorb easily. There was humour and yet seriousness, and the atmosphere was conducive to people feeling they could ask questions without feeling foolish and that “they should already know this stuff”.
One of our doctirs said ”it was fabulous and really helpful”. We all agree.
Thank you so much!

Manager at St Joseph's Pre School, April 2017
I just wanted to say thank you for a fantastic paediatric first aid course tutored by Dennis. My staff and I have attended other first aid courses over the years but this has been by far the best.
- The pre course liaison made sure that all our requirements were met and were relevant to our setting and statutory requirements.
- The presentation was interesting and well led. It was evident that Dennis was highly skilled and professional.
- There was appropriate time allowed for discussion, questions and answers.
- Dennis provided plenty of support and encouragement during practical work; empowering us to be confident in following the necessary procedures.
- The scenarios given for assessment work were a great way to work together as a team but also gave us the opportunity to learn from one another.

I was first on scene of a road traffic accident and was able to confidently perform CPR until paramedics arrived. This was solely down to the training I received from Back to Life – thank you.

Your trainer was lovely, which we all agreed.
I was quite poorly on the day and was worried and had my reservations. After explaining this to the trainer she let me take part in a way that would not draw attention to this and yet still was able to take part in everything, doing different roles that I was comfortable with.
Not only did we enjoy the course but she made it such fun and her enthusiasm and care for the group was so obvious and we haven't stopped talking about it.
She made sure that everyone got positive feedback and made sure that we knew exactly what to do and went through things that may have been needed to be repeated so we were all prepared and knew what to do.
Please pass our thanks to the trainer, and we would definitely recommend you again.

Most productive life support training I’ve attended as its more hands-on than death by power point which means I remember far more and would feel confident in using the skills learnt.

I attended a mandatory session (Virgin Care) today in Barnstaple. Although I completed the feedback form (which I always do inadequately as I am always tired at the end!) I just wanted to add that Helen was absolutely brilliant. It was the best session I have attended in 28 years of nursing. Well done and thanks.

I would just like to express my thanks for a fantastic ‘Emergency First Aid At Work’ course, held at The Royal Surrey County Hospital today. Our instructor made the day fun, engaging and informative. Unlike other courses I have attended, I felt truly satisfied and comfortable in the knowledge gained through the use of role-play and group interaction.

Just a quick note to say how wonderful my Back to Life training was this morning...your trainer was the most engaging and funny teacher I've ever had. He really managed to embed the learning for everyone by bringing it all to life, through story-telling and making everyone laugh, as well as knowing the answers to all of our questions and explaining everything really well.
Never have I learnt so much in such a little space of time so thank you. I really hope we have this training again next year.
